Where does Dave Willis get off making personal attacks at Frank Miller all the time? I’m not saying Miller is an angel (personally if found “Holy Terror” to be a bit lacking) but at the end of the day DKR is a classic of the comics medium, one of many classics Miller has draw/written, and Dave Willis does Transformer gags and poorly drawn lesbian porn.
se: like most of the past several generations, willis refuses to let anyone tell him that they know better than he does, no matter how right they are and no matter how wrong he is.
1. Who gets to be the one to break it to Dave that no matter how many lol white people jokes he makes, he won’t stop being white and by his own professed beliefs, his opinion matters for fuck all. So he’s an activist actively telling us not to give a shit about what he says because lol whitey.
2. The Dark Knight Returns was created in part by the desire to return Batman back to his old badass persona before the Silver Age and Adam West made him a goon. It was also about having the balls to stand up against the injustice of the world instead of keeping your head down and accepting it. That must be what he doesn’t like, the message of stand up and bring about change instead of whining on the internet and hoping someone else does it. Stupid Frank Miller, reminded Willis how much of a lazy cunt he is!
3. His parody isn’t even that good and is, in fact, a strawman of Miller’s original point of stop being a bitch and be a man and fight. I know, that’s such a shocking revelation, but you have to at least hit the actual point or else you’re attacking yourself more or less.
